Makenzie Shipman

Makenzie Shipman, LCSW Clinical Supervisor-Brown & Pike Counties

Makenzie is an outpatient counselor with MHCWI. She has been with the agency since 2014.

She received a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Western Illinois University in 2013. That year, she completed an internship with the Evergreen Center in Carthage, IL. She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from University of Illinois at Champaign in 2014, and completed an internship with Locust Street Resource Center in Carlinville, IL. Makenzie became a Licensed Social Worker in April of 2015.

In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Shanna Tharp

Shanna Tharp, Substance Abuse Counselor

Shanna began her employment at MHCWI in June of 2017. Prior to her employment at MHCWI, she was employed Liberty Village of Pittsfield, IL.

Shanna began as the executive assistant but recently switched to the role of substance abuse counselor enabling her to utilize her education and prior experience. Shanna obtained her Associate of Arts Degree at Lincoln College in 2011 on a Track and Field scholarship. She continued her education through Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Human Services. Shanna continued her desire to help others through an internship at Chaddock in Quincy, IL as a youth counselor.

She enjoys being outdoors, swimming and spending time with her dogs. Shanna actively participates in barrel racing competitions and rodeos.
